Gene Kahane is the former Poet Laureate of Alameda, and the founder/artistic director of The Foodbank Players. Host Scott Piehler talks with Gene about his time as Poet Laureate, his years as a teacher, and the creation of the Foodbank Players, a community theatre troupe whose mission is to entertain while providing support to The Alameda Food Bank.
