Leslie Stoval

Leslie Stoval passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends in early 2025. She will always be a member of our radio family and we are keeping her memory - and long commitment to Bay Area radio and jazz - alive on KCSM!

Leslie was celebrated for her engaging, vibrant and smooth presence on the air, making her a beloved figure among listeners.

Leslie had been part of several notable radio stations, beginning with her alma mater Stanford University’s KZSU, KMEL during its national prominence run as "The People’s Station", and KBLX; leading the format adoption of the Quiet Storm programming.

Leslie offered her unique style and passion for music to a wide audience and had recently been noted for her work in promoting and celebrating jazz music.

Leslie's dedicated involvement in the community and her ability to connect with listeners made her a respected and influential figure in the world of radio.
