In honor of Native American Heritage Month join Jesse “Chuy” Varela as he features Native American jazz musicians Jim Pepper, Joy Harjo, Mildred Bailey, “Big Chief” Russell Moore, Oscar Pettiford, and others as well as songs written by non-native jazz musicians in respect to indigenous culture. We’ll also tip the hat to indigenous rockers, Redbone, Jimi Hendrix, and Jesse Ed Davis.
