Oscar Peterson was one of the most prolific and popular pianists in the history of jazz. On Part 1 of The Oscar Peterson Trio w/ Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen, 1959-64 / O.P. @ 100, we’ll be celebrating Oscar’s Centennial with recordings the trio made for Verve between 1959 and 1962, including the albums The Jazz Soul Of Oscar Peterson , West Side Story and Affinity.
